the MENTAL FELTS

Mental Healthwith Puppets

The Mental Felts aren’t just made of felt—they’re full of personality and on a mission to spread mental health awareness.

Together, we share stories, spark conversations, and tackle the big stuff—from mental health struggles to recovery. With humor, heart, and real talk, we make connections that matter.

These felty feelers join me at events, workshops, and even stow away in my luggage for their own self-proclaimed missions. Most of the time, they take over my social media to argue about who is the biggest star (it’s never me), but they each have heart and messages to spread.

The Mental Felts are here to show that life is messy, beautiful, and always worth talking about.

the stars

Marguerite Dantes

The ultimate diva. Marguerite doesn’t just sing opera—she owns it. She graces the world with her presence (though she’s certain it doesn’t deserve her) and lowers herself to mingle with mere mortals. Confident, glamorous, and absolutely convinced of her own greatness... and honestly, she’s probably right.

Kourtess-Ann

She swears she was born on the streets of London (she wasn’t, but don’t tell her that). Kourtess-Ann carries her name like the royal title she knows she deserves. Cheeky, sharp-tongued, and delightfully inappropriate, she thrives on saying exactly what everyone else is too afraid to. And honestly? She wouldn’t have it any other way.

Fanny Girl

The ultimate fan-girl (and proud of it), Fanny Girl lives for all things pop culture. Whether she’s geeking out over Star Wars or channeling her inner Wonder Woman, her excitement is contagious. Pure of heart and brimming with curiosity, she sees the best in everyone and everything. Her mission? To have fun, spread joy, and share her love for the things that make life magical.

MagPie

MagPie lives in the in-between, floating somewhere between this world and the next. Mysterious and soulful, she spends her days reading tarot cards, singing in her signature sultry tone, and extending grace to even the most undeserving. With her dreamy presence and cosmic wisdom, MagPie is a reminder to slow down and embrace the magic in life’s mysteries.

Donna Pastries

Donna Pastries is the ultimate tough-love mama. She’ll tell you to lose weight while simultaneously stuffing cannolis in your mouth—because that’s how she shows her love. Fiercely devoted and hilariously dramatic, she’ll remind you at every turn that you’re the reason for her “suffering,” all while making sure you’re well-fed and well-loved. Self-proclaimed mom to everyone, Donna’s got a heart as big as her pastry stash.

Lily

Once a full-time trauma fairy, Lily is now taking back her power and reclaiming her story. She’s endured more than any puppet ever should and wears her messy, beautiful healing journey with pride. Active in therapy but still a bit of a hot mess, Lily sometimes acts without realizing she might cause harm—because trauma is what she knows. Her skewed vision of the world, though, allows her to connect in strange and unexpected ways. Lily’s proof that even the most battered wings can still find their way to fly.

Ruggles

The ultimate dream boy. With his irresistible charm and rockabilly swagger, Ruggles is the boyfriend to many—but he’ll insist his heart can’t be tied down. Kourtess-Ann, of course, knows better (and they definitely have a thing). Mysterious and brooding, he rarely speaks, which only makes him even more enticing.

Sailor (the Swearing dog)

If the other puppets won’t say it, Sailor definitely will. All he does is swear—it might sound like barking, but don’t be fooled. This foul-mouthed canine has a knack for saying exactly what everyone’s thinking… just with a lot more “ruff” language.

Pandorini Depressionado

Pandorini made the bold (and possibly ill-advised) decision to open the toy box, blissfully unaware of the chaos waiting inside. Now, she’s tasked with managing a mob of unruly puppets who thrive on defying logic and order. With her sharp Russian accent and an even sharper tongue, she’s all business, all the time, fighting to restore control. Pandorini thrives on discipline, but she’s constantly outnumbered by shenanigans. Still, if anyone can wrangle this felt-fueled circus, it’s her—though she’s probably regretting that box to this day.
